Even after a major back injury forced me to leave the military, I refused to let it hold me back. Instead, I maintained my insurance license and worked part-time as a sales agent for major companies while continuing to serve my country and my community.
Determined to continue my education, I used my G.I. Bill benefits to pursue a degree in business and leadership management at St. Petersburg College. After graduation, I took my skills to the private sector, with Joe Cool Home Services before ultimately deciding to follow my dream of running my own insurance agency.
